Manual Driver Updates
Updating your drivers manually can be a very complicated and time consuming task. Nevertheless, if you have a lot of time on your hands you can update your drivers manually. This is a complicated proceedure for most people and can lead to other errors.
First of all, you need to identify what drivers you have in your system. Your system will probably have up to 15 drivers which you need to update manually. To find out what hardware you have and what drivers you currently have, use the DXDIAG tool. Go to START, then click on RUN and type in DXDIAG and click ok. You will find information on your system drivers, BIOS, sound card and video drivers.

Manually search through a database of drivers, tips, driver information and forums on how to use them. WinFiles - The WinFiles site provides information and links for BIOS & system updates, display and video drivers, printers and scanners. There is also some great utilities which are useful for updating drivers.
Microsoft Windows Update - Microsoft scans your system and recommends driver updates for your machine. Although Windows Update will not update all your drivers, it's worth stopping by every now and then for critical driver updates. Softpedia - The Softpedia website provides a useful collection of driver downloads. Browse through updates for keyboard drivers, mouse drivers, motherboard drivers, network card drivers, printer drivers, scanner drivers, digital camera drivers, webcam drivers, camcorder drivers, and sound card drivers.
